Can we truly grasp?

Job 25: 2-3  Dominion and awe belong to God; He establishes order in the heights of heaven.  Can His forces be numbered? Upon whom does His light not rise?

Can we really truly grasp all that He is and all that He holds in control?

Can we really grasp the magnitude of our God???

He is truly out of this world!!!!

His forces are so gansta He can fight our battles for us!! (2Chronicles 20)

When we praise Him He sends His forces to squash any battle or issue in our lives!!

His power can’t be quantified.

His grace is immeasurable.

His love is uncontainable.

His peace is incomprehensible.

He is undeniably undeniable.

He JUST IS!!!!

Who can understand the thunder of His power??? (Job 26:14) SELAH

He establishes order

Job 25: 2-3  Dominion and awe belong to God; He establishes order in the heights of heaven.  Can His forces be numbered? Upon whom does His light not rise?

He establishes order. He established how the world works and moves.  He forms us in a specific order in our mother’s womb and doesn’t let anything go out of place.  Even if it seems out of place to use He made it that way for His glory!  He establishes order in the seasons – a harvest and planting season.  He established a time for everything under the sun (Ecc3:1-8).  He established our specific time to be born and to die.  He set it up so that we would have everything we needed in that time too (2Peter 1:3).

How can we help not wonder about His amaziness 🙂 His beauty and strength.  The fact that He has this whole earth in motion, makes sure all the planets are in correct orbit, put the earth at the exactly correct place so that it can sustain our lives and still knows, and even cares about when we sit or rise and is familiar with all our ways (Psalm 139:2-3) totally blows my mind!  His order is divine and specific and He is to be praised!

He Deserves

Job 25: 2-3

Dominion and awe belong to God; He establishes order in the heights of heaven.  Can His forces be numbered? Upon whom does His light not rise?

Now Job’s friends really did suck at the whole encouragement thing but they hdid have some great points in there now and again.

Sidenote: Read the whole book of Job-interesting story especially when God gets gansta “Brace yourself like a man; I will question you and you shall answer me.” Job 38:3 Ha!!

But on with the story…Bildad (one of Job’s friends) had an amazing revelation and I couldn’t help but to just meditate on those two verses above.  The next few blogs will be all about Job 25:2-3

Job 25:2-3  “Dominion and awe belong to God; He establishes order in the heights of heaven.  Can His forces be numbered? Upon whom does His light not rise?”

God has total dominion over this earth, and the galaxies and universe.  He has control over things we don’t even know exist; the seen and the unseen!  He created everything and set it all in motion!! And all the awe, wonderment, and worship belong to Him.  We should be utterly amazed at the intricacy of our bodies, how we wake up every morning, how we breathe; how our heart beats, our eyes blink unconsciously thousands of times a day.  He set up the balance of the Kreb’s cycle, cell respiration, our circulatory system, our nervous system etc and makes it work EVERYDAY.  The beauty of the human form, our intellect, our dreams, everything!

And lets not get started on nature! The beautiful colors and shapes!  The most vibrant colors are found in nature and we are still trying to fabricate their intensity!  What was He thinking when He came up with the platypus!?!? All of nature is for us to wonder at its beauty and the beauty of God’s amazing imagination.

I am in constant awe of His attention to detail and His funny side (platypuses, kangaroos, other weird animals lol).  Our God is amazing!!!! The fact that He placed a purpose (Jer 29:11) in us and knew what He was going to do with our lives even before the beginning of time (Psalm 139) blows my mind!!  Lord, You deserve all our worship for Your greatness and beauty and strength and amazing imagination.  Glory belongs only to You!!

Love is Vulnerable…

I just read this excerpt from a book I’m reading and this has convinced me that C.S. Lewis’s works are a MUST read!! This is just tooo real and too true!!!

To love at all is to be vulnerable.  Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly broken.  If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal.  Wrap it careful round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness.  But in that casket – safe, dark, motionless, airless –it will change.  It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable…The only place outside Heaven where you can be perfectly safe from all the dangers…of love is Hell  ~C.S. Lewis, The Four Loves

Noble Character?

More on the word Worth..

Proverbs 31:1o says

“A wife of noble character who can find? She is WORTH far more than rubies.”

Some women see Proverbs 31: 10-31 as a testament to some woman they could never be but I challenge that thought!  THis is an example of the potential we all have to be this so called “superwoman!”  God already calls us wise (Prov 3:15), beautiful (Psalm 45:11; Gen 1:27 if God’s image ain’t beautiful I don’t know what is), and He has given us everything we need (2Peter 1:3), so we clearly have the abilities to do all God describes in this chapter.  If we understood that we are already noble, beautiful, and worth more than great treasures, all that other stuff would come easily and naturally…

How to be Prosperous…

A little travelin through the Bible led me to this….

Psalm 1:1-3

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But His delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. WHATEVER HE DOES PROSPERS!!!

Which led to this…

Jerimiah 17:7-8

But blessed is the man who trust in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drough and never fails to bear fruit.

Which led to this…

Prov 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight…

Which led to this…

Matt 6:33

But seek first the Kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well

Which led to this..

Matt 6: 25-34 in particular v. 27

Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?…

When you seek Him first, follow after righteousness, depend on Him and meditate on Him (and His Word) you can’t help but be prosperous. See the pattern?? “Me” isn’t first in any of this. When we forget about the worries of this world and trust that He’s got us we can’t help but prosper in the place God has put us. Follow after the things of God and stop worrying about all the little things around you. If a bird doesn’t have to worry about what to eat why in the world are we worrying what we should eat for dinner? If the lilies of the field don’t worry about clothes why should we be worrying about if our outfit is just right? When we put our priorities in the right order prosperity must follow. God says in Isaiah 55:11 that not one thing He says comes back to Him without it doing what He sent it out to do. So if He said blessed is the man….he will prosper….please believe it will happen!!!!

Lord Help us to keep seeking after you! Help us to look to you before we dwell in our circumstances. Let us meditate on Your Word and walk in righteousness so that we can know the prosperity You talk about in Your Word!!!

Worth…

SO for 2010 I wanted to start making my Bible studying simple.  Pick a word that I want to learn more about, find it in the concordance and look up all the verses God spoke about that thing…I chose the word “worth” for my first go round at this…and its fitting that the very 1st verse that shows up in that faithful concordance is talkin about wisdom and its worth!!! Aint that interesting??? God’s been speaking to me about  a woman’s worth and how its tied also to her Wisdom…there are soooooo many connections here I could just go on and on but like just start with this….

Job 28:12-13 NIV

“But where can WISDOM be found? Where does understanding dwell? man does not comprehend its WORTH; it cannot be found in the land of the living.”

Going back to my connection to wisdom and women (http://wp.me/sFe1o-wisdom) we can see already the correlation between this verse and women…

Where can man truly find a woman? Where can he look to see her heart, her soul?  If she is in Christ and truly knows just how much she’s worth he wouldn’t be able to find it too easily!  Thats why knowing who you are and WHOSE you are is soooo important.  If we knew that half of the pain we struggle with wouldn’t even come our way.

We as women are special beautiful treasures that God has made for amazing work!  To bring life into this world.  The king (God) is totally ENTHRALLED with our beauty (Ps 45:11) and wants us and the rest of the world to know that.  A man could only appreciate this fact when he seeks after God with all his heart also…

Because of this our hearts must be sooo hidden in God that man must look upon God to find it.  God is the only one who truly understands our worth. Who truly understands our mysteries and you know we can be full of mysteries (or craziness, whatever…lol)? Our mysteries are too deep!! Man cannot find us, the real us, among the living (natural, physical). Ever wondered why people just don’t seem to understand you.  Why men tell you your too complicated?  Its because they are looking at you through their own eyes and not how God sees you…Any man who can’t see your worth isn’t looking in the right place…  He must look upon God….

If we are truly the wisdom (Prov 3:15) God has called us to be then only the man who looks to God will find us…and that my friends, will be a match made in heaven!!! No man would comprehend you, no man will be able to find you unless they are lookin towards God….

Prov 4:25 Above all else guard your heart for it is the wellspring of life…

Our hearts are the wellsprings of life…guard them as such and look for God…He’s got you figured out!!!
